Critique: The symmetry created with this composition is stark, beautiful and helps create an interesting composition.  What is most important here though is the colour, especially of the red in the back room and its reflection over the dark and murky flood waters.  The beige of the water damage through the near vertical centre of the photo all ads emphasis to the red by bringing the eye back.  Its contrast with the other colours, while being slightly picked up in the paintings, creates an interesting study in colour.
